Hi! I have two problems, money and location. But I am determined to not let that stop me from having my dream wedding. I dont want a crazy huge wedding, and I dont need to spend 5000 dollars on my dress. I will hunt far and wide and on the net for the fabric, but what about a seamstress? With my location its sooo difficult to find a seamstress good enough to make a wedding dress. And I cant travel too much because I have a newborn.

Are there any online dress making companies? You know you send the measurements and they make the dress etc etc? I mean I am assuming that if it needs a bit of a nip and tuck here or there when I get it, I'm sure even my the stupidest of seamstresses who are here can fix it a little.

I am a seamstress and with the right measurements can make you a dress that will nearly fit perfect if I have the right measurements, you don't lose or gain too much weight before you get the dress, and I am given enough time to complete the dress. You would have to pick a style and stay with it; depending on the style would depend on the time and cost. If you would like to visit a little more you can contact me at thehiddenstitch@yahoo.com.

I would suggest going to the yellow pages on-line of the nearest city to you and searching for seamstresses. Since Seamstresses work so much with their hands, it is rare that any would have a website. I would then want to see some of their work. By choosing one that is even remotely close by, you minimize the problems you may have. Imagine that someone tells you they can sew it, gets the material and never comes up with what you want or worse yet, comes up with a piece of garbage you cannot possibly wear.

A little pre-planning will go a long way to getting exactly what you want. One trip for measurements and to engage the seamstress and one trip to get the final alterations done when you are close to the wedding. This will minimize your need to be away from your home particularly if you plan it around a regular shopping trip.

I would not trust a normal every day seamstress to touch your wedding dress if they are not familiar with the fabric, they could ruin it. That being said, I know ebay sells dresses where you give your measurments and it's made for you and shipped out, BUT BE CAREFUL; most of these places are in China and they do knock-offs, if you will and do a horrible horrible botch job. Just make sure you insure that they are reputable before bidding.

Ahh, ultimately a gown that somebody has published that i admire! The clothier gown is stunning! uncertain that a seamstress could possibly good source the fabric nonetheless, a minimum of this is the difficulty that I had while i attempted to apply a Carolina Herrera as "concept." No injury in asking a depended on and respected seamstress her opinion. i've got additionally tried the David's Bridal gown on and it extremely is appropriate. yet what proportion different women human beings have worn it? that query on my own made my selection.
