Ha got ya, who ever clicked on that question and wanted to answer yes, YOU ARE WRONG

Bettas are NOT happy and healthy in a bowl or in a 1 gallon tank

It's your responsibility to your fish to get at LEAST a 2.5 gallon tank with heater and filter for your betta

There is no truth behind that, that a betta is happy in little bowl?!?!?!

Would you like to be confined to a space of 2X2???
Don't think so

Betta's can live up to 7 years with proper care

So what would you reather have, a happy and healthy betta or one that has a short expected life because of your iresponsibility?????

Here is also some more info about them

Here is also a pic where they live in natural habitat

Please to all the store keepers, we know that you have no other way then to keep them in bowls or small cups!

go ahead ekkelly 66, sounds like a very nice setup, you could actually keep 2 schools with your betta in a 10 gallon

EB thanks for reminding people about this. Just wanted to also put that the water temperature should be between 76-82 F in the tank.

I have been reading a lot about bettas and was thinking about putting it in a 10 gallon taank with some tetras or danios
I would have a betta 5 tetras or danios and 2 corycats
and most things say they can be kept in bowls but it doesnt make the bettas feel happy

Yes, you may keep your betta in a bowl as long as you cover it promptly to prevent your betta from jumping out. Allow some air to enter the bowl.

In its habitat, betta can survive in small amount of water over dry seasons. I have found betta to be very healthy living in small confinement.

If you are living happily on earth, tell me how would you answer to a bird flying above you when the birds wonder how you could confine yourself to a small land instead of roaming the sky.

btw my bettas are very happy in small confinement but are really sad in larger space. How do i know? because they grow up with beautiful show quality finage in the right enviroment, that is smaller confinement.
