It's hard to say, since we don't have YouTube videos of George Washington or Thomas Jefferson. Lincoln wrote the best speeches, but Kennedy and Reagan had some very good speechwriters. In my lifetime I'd have to go with Kennedy, but FDR was very inspiring for my parents.

Ronald Reagan was too folksey... and not a great orator.
Actually most of our Presidents weren't notable for their oratory styles.
I believe Kennedy and Clinton were two of the best at reaching into the 'heart' of the American People.

Ronald Reagan was the "great communicator". JFK was also pretty inspiring, and had a great style. But I think Abe Lincoln would have to have been the best. He has a lot of speeches in the history books, because they were great speeches, would love to have heard them,

Slick Willy, I mean Clinton, had pretty good speech. At least Letterman didn't do a famous presidential speeches skit on him every night, like he currently does- showing all of Bush's ridiculous blunders. There's one for every night!

JFK - His family legacy was marital infidelity, drunkenness, and massive military blunders, but he was the MOST inspiring speaker of the 20th century.

John F. Kennedy was the most inspiring - clear and articulate.
