u know wat... i've been seeing alot of those 'am i pretty?', 'who's the prettiest?', 'who's the hottest?' questions.i usually end up not answering any of those questions cuz i truly honestly don't think the person in the pic is at all good looking, and i dun wanna be mean and hurt any feelings, but i dun wanna lie either by saying sumthing like 'ya ur so beautiful'.. but, then, when i look at the answers, everyone is saying tat the person is really pretty...
i'm seriously starting to wonder why... like, why is my opinion so much different from everybody elses?

no.. you are not weird... it's just that everybody is entitled to their own opinion.. your line of thinking maybe is different from the others.. maybe you see something that other people don't or it is the other way around.. but sometimes speaking out your opinion can really help..

I think its just because you're being totally honest. I mean, I don't think most of those people are butt-ugly, but I'm not about to respond with 'OMG, you're so hott!' like some people seem inclined to do. Different people are attracted to different things, and if you just don't find those people aesthetically pleasing you shouldn't lie about it. If you think they look normal or average I don't think thats a bad thing, but if you think they're really ugly it might be best to keep the comment to yourself. lol

I think your attitude is admirable, in not wanting to hurt someone's feelings, and probably more common than you might think. You only see the dozen or so answers; not the thousands of contibutors who DON'T answer, for the same reason as you.

thats what i think to and i usually try to give an honest answer and try to make it not sound harsh. but i think that people lie and say that a person is pretty just so that the person who asks picks them for best answer

Because people don't want to be ***holes. But it takes real ***holes like you to put people in check. You should really state your opinion. Just like I'm freely stating my opinion to answer your question, you should do the same for others.
And by the way, I will straight up tell someone if I think they're ugly, and you should do the same. People already know that they take their chances of getting their feelings hurt by asking questions like that. Don't feel sorry for those ***holes!!!
