So, do you call? And after how long do you wait before you call? And what's your reason for calling?

I meant the one that's at home? Do you call your spouse? But both can answer, that is interesting!

Sure I call her to let her know what I am doing. Not because I have to but because I choose to. It is respectful.

I have never called my spouse while he's out with friends. I suppose I would if there were some kind of emergency, but that hasn't happened. Other than that, I would see it as disrespectful. After all, that is his private time with his friends (most of which are also my friends). He hasn't ever called me, either. I do call, (or leave a note) when I'm the one going, though. He probably wouldn't notice, but I would, and I want him to do the same so I won't worry that he's been in an accident or something.

If im out with friends, i for sure call my hubby just to check in and let him no everythings ok.....i call him about 2 hours after i've been gone.....and i just call to let him no i'm thinking of him and that i'm safe and everythinigs fine, if i'm home and he's the one out he calls me as well, he will call me every hour sometimes just to say i love you and miss you, it's like he feels guilty for being out without me or something, but yes, he calls me and i call him when we are out, it's just respectful, you don't want your spouse at home worrying if everythings ok or something has happened.

Not usually. Only if he is due to go to work and I need to see where he's at in the lineup. He works an unusual schedule. Or, I guess if I want to see if he wants anything before I come home. If I'm feeling nice...:)

BigM,
first - my wife always knows where I am. Second, if I am gone for an extended period of time (longer than anticipated) I call her to let her know. First, so she doesn't worry; second, because it is just the decent thing to do.

Go ahead - CALL when this occurs; again, you deserve better treatment.

God, no. That is his time. If i called every five minutes, what would be the point of him going out? Besides, he is really good about letting me know ahead of time that he is going out, not 5 minutes before.

yes I call. I call as soon as I go with my friends. That way he knows where I am & doesn't worry.

Only if I'm changing locations...while I'm on the way...let her know where I'm going in case I'm slain in a horrible, bloody car crash
