First of all, happy 40th birthday! May you look that good for the next forty years. :)
To kick of the MLC, I'd say buy a motorcycle. But don't go classic Harley; go crotch rocket.
From there, ride the new bike around the closest state university, particularly around the Greek houses/Frat Row. If you pass the sororities enough, you'll be bound to attract attention. Of course, they may think you are a stalker, but there's always one easy sorority girl who likes a hot guy on a motorcycle. You're bound to get lucky.
Then, wine her and dine her. She'll be begging to give you her gifts in no time.
Or . . . .
You can do the anti-"men are pigs" route, and do something great for you. I'd opt for the week long vacation alone. Very refreshing, very free, very meaningful.
I'm full of BS ideas and some good ones, so if you want more ideas, just ask.

Happy birthday! I turn 30 this month and I am having a midlife crisis of my own ( although mine merely involves facials and anti wrinkle creams). Here are some options: start hitting on college age women, get drunk, buy a convertible, find "god," buy a gym membership, get plastic surgery, leave your wife (if you have one). Just kidding!
