there is a constant problem with nekton organisms sinking , can u plz tell me how they stay a float

Nekton organisms can propel themselves independent of the currents in the water mass

With the ability to propel ones self I'm not understanding why they would sink. Their characteristics really don't display the inability to stay afloat.

One characteristic of nekton is the capability of fast motion. Another is maneuverability, as in linear and angular acceleration, starting, stopping, turning, and in general displaying agility.
