The US helped us British stop Hitler, save and restore Europe, protect all from the USSR. We re-established Japan into a glorious nation. Together developed multiple technologies and develop human rights to stop evil men. Now we find the nation wishing to cripple others, wishing to hinder the development of wealth and rights in other states, wishing to rule the world with an Iron Fist is now the USA itself. From the Iron Curtain the world now must resist the Stars n Stripes Curtain. Don't you agree the USA has now become the very evil dominion that it swore to destroy?

Judging from the phrase "WE re-established Japan into a glorious nation.", one can assume then, that YOU ARE AN AMERICAN.

I too am an American, and while I am often troubled by some of the conditions here, and some of the things our government does I do not believe in any conspiracy to take over the world, or that America is evil.

After reading several questions you've posed, I must say that your preoccupation with this idea is making you sound as if you are a conspiracy theorist. I have a good friend who suffers from a mental disorder which manifests itself in much the same way. She is constantly referring to the government as "evil", and she is worried about a conspiracy bent on world domination....... I dare say, you sound just like her.

I'm worried about you girl. Please take care, lest this debilitating neurosis get any worse. The way it sounds, we're libel to find you running around with a tin foil hat on, braying at the moon.

The Allies (without the USA) which included the Russians fought the Nazi's with everything it had for years, then the yanks come along and take all the damned credit. Dropping a nuclear bomb isn't fighting, its mass murder. It was just fine and dandy for millions of Europeans to die fighting the Nazi's while the americans did deals with them on the side.

Russia probably suffered the most deaths after the Jews and they would have given every single life to defend its country, the yanks would have loved that.

The USA's world view has always been centred on its own dominance, just check out an american atlas, the USA is always the centre and always bigger than it actually is.

USA is extremely evil and untrustworthy, it is the biggest fear mongering in the world today. Most of the countries that you are at war with just want the USA to get the hell out of their country and mind their own business. Those terrorist the US are hunting, are sitting in the whitehouse.

Well more evil then it has been but I don't believe there is a "good" government out there. There are many impotent governments and weak governments but good or virtuous governments that have the strength to be otherwise are a myth. I don't think the people of the United states are corrupt beyond redemption nor do I believe that of any people in the world but all governments are evil to some extent and as has been said the governments represent the people.

Its not evil because i believe that the intentions were good. Always remember if theres a typhoon, a natural disastor, a flood, who is the first and only ones there with an aircraft carrier and economic aid. Forget iraq and think about some of the good that the states has done to help other countries. Hopefully the current regime is voted out so mistakes like iraq dont happen again. And by the way im Canadian.

The USA thinks that droping bombs on other nations that disagree with its policies, is the solution to all its problems. No wonder their is so much violence and mayhem in their society. It has the highest crime rate in the world. Its amazing that American citizens dont realize that slowly but surely that basic legal rights are being infringed by their own govt in the pretext of fight terrorism. What goes round comes round.

Young lady, you are babbling absolute nonsense--empty rhetoric, generalities, mere assertions. Are you proud of yourself for inflaming the witless chavs that hang out at this site? Aren't those dullards volatile enough, without your uncalled-for incitement?
Now calm yourself, collect your thoughts, and take a good look at the Marxist gibberish you've written. Propaganda is always contemptible. Propaganda directed against a country to whom yours is deeply indebted, can only be called obscene.
Shame on you.

I live in America and the crime rate is SOOOO high! I am afraid to go to sleep at night, even though I live in the suberbs! I turn on local news and the top 5 stories are about murder, rape, or breaking and entering.

I have been wanting to move to Scotland or Germany for like my entire life! At school, textbooks are hinting racist in the text against a lot of countries, crime is high, there are lots of drugs, school shootings are getting common, most of the popular songs are explicit, we started a war because a president didn't like a country, I'm seriously am becoming homesick for my ancestors' countries which I have never set foot in but have fantasized about for years! Most of the people in America talk about a bombing that made tons of people suffer (Japanese bombings in WW2) as noble when people are still suffering; sure they say it was "dreadful" to them, but it was "noble and right!" I feel like a stranger here.....

It was supposed to be country where the poor and oppressed could go for a new start but is now desperately trying to keep the poor and oppressed out and sucking up to the rich and to Capitalism.

It even denies is citizens socialised healthcare - ie a basic human right being to access medical care when you need it.

'Evil' is a bit strong, but it's certainly a very naughty boy.

My 2 year old is better behaved, because he knows:
- it's wrong to lash out in temper (Iraq, Afghanistan);
- that if rules are set they also apply to him (invasion of Iraq in contravention of UN, GATT, Kyoto).

Bush and his government are well overdue a stern telling-off followed by a prolonged spell on the naughty-step.
