I like that we have a 2 party system, but can't we all agree that gov't shouldn't intrude in economic issues? instead of the democrats and republicans shouldn't it be the libertarians and the republicans?

eyota.......you clearly don't know what socialism and fascism are. democrats are indeed socialists. "Socialism refers to a broad array of doctrines or political movements that envisage a socio-economic system in which property and the distribution of wealth are subject to control by the community.[1] This control may be either direct—exercised through popular collectives such as workers' councils—or indirect—exercised on behalf of the people by the state. As an economic system, socialism is often characterized by state or community ownership of the means of production."

thats your typical liberal thought right there.

And fascism has nothing to do with America.

We do NOT have a two party system, as a matter of law.

The Constitution not only doesn't mention parties at all, but is structured to prevent two parties from being able to exclude all others.

What has happened is that the two dominant parties have jury rigged and gerrymandered the system to block any other parties, without actually excluding them entirely.

And Libertarians would be directly opposed to any laws that excluded other candidates, even if they were not excluded, because Libertarians require constitutional freedoms.

All that being said, I'd love to amend the Constitution to repeal Article I Section 8 Paragraph 3 -- the Commerce Clause. No federal regulation of commercial activity.

No because the liberal dems want control of the economy, basically the more governmental control the better everything will be that's a liberals viewpoint. They think that they're helping but they're not. And a democrat is basically a liberal label, calling someone a democrat, you automatically think they are liberal.

I think we got it good, if u look at some of the other countries. I think we made a mistake by not giving A. Greenspan another term on the Fed, no offense to the new chairman, but I liked and still like Greenspan. I do not think we will have another as good as he was. Hell, the man made a hint that he would manipulate the stock market if it did not fix itself, and right away, it dropped and then came up and leveled. ha ha Great question :)

The Constitution specifically allows the government to interfer in economic issues. There can be total chaos if it doesnt. However, government interferance should be minimum.

Actually, it should be libertarians fighting off the socialists, who are called Democrats in this country.

Edit:

Eyota Xin - I'll put up a defense for my observation. How about you doing the same for the prevaricative nonsense you just posted?
