String Theory is the principle that instead of all matter and energy being comprised of zero dimensional points, they are instead made of one dimensional strings. However, these strings are smaller than the smallest thing you can possibly imagine. They would be units of Planck length (10,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000th of a meter) long and vibrate in closed little loops. This would constitute the basis for all known functions of the major Universal forces (Gravity, Electromagnetism, Strong and Weak Nuclear force) and allow them to be predicted by similar equations.

It has a lot of appeal, because scientists since Einstein's general relativity have been trying to unify the fundamental forces. However, String Theory remains purely mathematical and has very little physical testability.

Particle physicists at CERN have been trying to collide Hadrons and possibly produce evidence of Quantum Gravity, but it's still in the early stages.

For know, it's just a very cool idea that should NOT be taken as relevent theory... yet. You never know what those little Hadrons could produce.

String theory is the New theory which has replaced the Theory of Relativity in explaining the structure of The macro and the Micro Universe.
It is one of the Unification theories
Einstein worked all his life to find a theory which would Unify all the forces of nature under a common denominator.
Never the less Theories are Theories.

Simply, string theory holds that the basic building block of our universe is not a point, but a string, and this theory fills in the gap between large scale physics like how the planets move and quantum physics like how electrons move inside atoms.

It's dangerous when we begin taking evolving theories as dogma, as fact.

String theory is protoscience. It lacks in evidence, and there are an awful lot of kinks to work out. It's very speculative in nature.

Physicists and mathematicians engage in "what if" exercises all the time. We can't hop and jump at the first sign they're onto something. Let the evidence come - because for each that got it right, there's nine that flopped.

Cambridge and Oxford have been created by potential of the clergy interior the twelfth century, and Newton wrote far greater approximately theology than technology. so plenty greater. In any journey, circulate to the library and look for the hardship with Physics by potential of Lee Smolen, that could get perplexing to examine. additionally Leonard Susskind, The Black hollow Wars is somewhat greater trouble-free and thrilling. Susskind and Stephen Hawkings have been in a large psychological argument that makes fir some stable analyzing. 2 books i could recomend, yet you will detect a lot of of stuff interior the 530 component to the library. wish that facilitates!

String theory will probably never be proven. We cannot "see" that tiny realm.
