Tilt alone is not responsible for the change of seasons.Revolution around the sun is the most important reason for the change of seasons. If tilt alone is there and the earth does not go round the sun, one hemisphere will always be exposed to the sun permanently and will have a permanent summer throughout the year whereas the other hemisphere will have permanent winter.Apart from creating unequal day time and night time, the tilt causes seasons along with revolution.

Actually, Seasons occur because the Earth wobbles back & forth- alternately exposing the Northern & Southern Hemisperes to 6 months of extended daylight (& thus- Summer on one side & Winter on the other.).
