Punyam koddi purushudu daanam koddi biddalu

That saying is this: "Pujala koddi pursushudu, punyam koddi pillalu" and means that one's husband is the result of one's Puja (that is why the bride performs Gowri Puja before her marriage though she is supposed to be performing that much earlier also) and that the children will be as per one's good deeds (may be in the previous birth).

Basically it is another way of saying that the fruits of today are the result of the sowing of the right seeds yesterday. Karma is action and gives the fruits of action in due course. Till one gives the attachment to the karma phala (fruits of action) by doing nishkama karma, one is bound to the results of one's action. Once one realises that One is not the lowly ego but is actually part of the Para Brahma, these actions stop binding one, since one becomes part of the One Whole. Sai Ram.

rajraj has completed the proverb. The gist is according to your good deeds you get your spouse and according to your alms you get the type of children. One way of encouraging the younger generation to do good and be good.
