his is no joke!! My bathroom sink has been clogged for a while. 2day, I accidentally got a hair clip (like this: http://www.flashsales.com/images/scunci/... --except bigger)
stuck in the already-clogged sink!! In the process of trying to get it out with tweezers & scissors, it got even more stuck--i can't even reach it, and neither can the scissors......it's really stuck.
How do I get it out!?!?!?! I don't really want my parents to know!!
HEEELLLLPPPP!!!!

worst case scenario, how much would a plumber cost!!????

Fess up.
A plumber will cost $50.00 minimum.
If your Dad's handy, he can dissassemble the drain piping for the sink pretty easily and get the thing out.
If you know how to wrench, and have the tools, it's no big deal.

It's no big deal, get a pipe wrench or large "channel lock" pliers from your dad's toolbox. Now, directly under the sink you'll find the drain pipes. Picture the face of a clock, the way the second hand turns is clockwise, or to the right. The opposite is counterclockwise. Always remember this, Righty tighty, lefty loosey. You see big "nuts", turn them to the left on at a time. Keep a bucket under the pipes, because the water could drain out anytime. When the nuts are spinning free, you can remove the pipe by pulling it apart from the other pipe. Most likely, your clog is in the bend of the pipe, sort of resembles an "P" and is called the "P" trap. Lay the pipes out just as they came apart, to help you remember how to put them back together. GOOD LUCK!!!

A plumber, about $125.00: or take the "S" trap apart yourself under the sinkl, that's what's if for, put a pail under it so it doesn't get water all over, then take the junk stuck in the drain out and, put the trap back together again. You may need a large pair of Channel lock pliers.
