I went camping and left an improperly sealed jar of minced garlic in my cooler. Needless to say, some of the contents stunk up my cooler I can't get rid of the smell. I would love to hear a remedy.

Do you mean a cool box? Coat it with baking soda and leave over night , rinse well the next day and leave open to completely dry. Good luck.

One thing that I buy A LOT of is plain white distilled vinegar. I had a plastic water bottle that I had put iced coffee in and it rolled under the seat of my car...it had cream in it. Needless to say, it smelled NASTY, but I left it over night in the sink with 1 cup of vinegar and filled it the rest of the way with water...depending on the size of the cooler, you might want to use 2 or more cups. I washed the bottle the next morning and the smell of the coffee was completely gone.

Baking soda has an ingredient within it that helps counteract the bacteria in garlic that create the smell.

the best thing to do would likely to be using toothpaste with baking soda in it (or something of that nature) and brush that in it.

Try washing with lemon juice... If it will take the smell of fish from a cooler, it will clean anything...

Buy a packet of Baking soda...open it and leave it the fridge....overtime the soda will absorb the odors. You can change the box every few months and your fridge won't smell.

Not that it will help, but you can put a skunk in there. I'm pretty sure THAT will get rid of the garlic smell.

Good luck with the answer
