My grandma had it hid everywhere. She grew up in the depression and always wanted something around 'just in case'.
When she passed away, they found 5's, 10's and 20's in books here and there, tops of closets, shoe-boxes, slid up under the box-spring under-coating, drawers, jars, and a good chunk of cold hard cash in the freezer.

I've never hidden money. I did hide my husbands Rolex so well it was lost for 6 months. I completely forgot doing it. What an idiot. LOL

I wouldn't call it strange but I'd hidden money in books......which were eventually given away to charity .
