Consider a right angled triangle KBA where:-
KB is vertical
AB is horizontal
KA = 30 ft
Angle KBA is 90°
Angle KAB = 52°
sin 52° = KB / 30
KB = 30 sin 52°
KB = 23.6
Height of kite = 23.6 ft (to 1 decimal place)

Draw a triangle and use the basic identities. The angle of your triangle is 52 (degrees) and the hypotenuse is 30 feet. With this information, you can set this up to find the height:
sin52= X/30 (sin= opposite side/hypotenuse)
so you get (using cross multiplication) X=(30xsin52), which is 23.64032261 ft.

U define a right triangle where the length of the string is a hypotenuze amd height is one of the klathetes...
The angle you are talking about is the opposite of the height kathete
There fore we use a formula for sine
sin α = opposite kathete / hypotenuze
which yields
opposite kathete = hypotenuze * sin α
you enter the values into equation and you get
opposite kathete = 30 * sin 52 = 30 * 0.79 = 23,7 (approx)

Sine of an angle is equal to the opposite side of the right angled triangle divided by the hypotenuse.
hypotenuse = string length
opposite side length = height
sin(52) = height / 30
sin(52) * 30 = height
Hope this helps,

Follow the site below, you will get a clearer picture
imagine A as the angle in question and the lengthe of the string used is the hypotenuse. so, that woul result in...
sin(A) = opposite side (length) / hypothenuse
sin 52 = height / length of string used
therefore, when you need the height,
a little bit of shifting would change the main topic required,
giving the equation:
height = length of string used x sin 52
= 30ft x 0.788
= 23.64 ft (rounded down)
Got it?

sin O = Opposite/Hypotenuse
where
O = 52
Hypotenuse = 30 which is the length of the string
Opposite = the height of the kite
substitute the values
sin 52 = Height/30
Height = (sin 52) * 30
Height = 23.64 ft

sure !
sine=length of side opposite the angle / length of hypotinuse
go from there.
