We've been around for 60,000 years; writing for thousands; and we haven't touched science for more than a few hundreds. Some things we're too young to know yet.
In the scientific communities there is no consensus on the geometry of space. And current observations can be applied to a multitude of theories claiming different things.
A popular theory claims our 3-dimensional universe curves in a 4th dimension, much like a piece of paper can be rolled in a 3rd dimension to form a ball or a cylinder.
I wouldn't roll my dice just yet.

recently some astronomers have been theorizing that our universe is flat, and that our concept of three dimensions is an phantasm. i don't see how which would be, even though it would enable for an infinity of universes. To the terrific of my know-how, although, our universe is 3-dimensional, yet despite if that's extra like a sphere, a flattened sphere, or a disk i could not say. It relies upon on how uniform and incessant the massive Bang replaced into. The rub right it is that the area occupied by using our universe ought to not be Euclidean -- the axes of our reference device ought to curve instead of working in quickly lines.

Or how about flat AND round?
Having read through the answers that others provided it seems a little pointless to write my own. I suggest you - and perhaps also any others interested in such questions - read through the source I have provided. There are many on the internet but this one seems to be not too difficult to understand and gives a good general look at the subject. Just go there are start clicking and reading.

We were able to verify via astronauts and fotos taken from satelites that the Earth was round.
However with the Universe scientists believe that the Universe is flat.
Perhaps with New technology we may be able to prove that the Universe is not flat.
But on the other hand they might be right. It just takes a lot of scientific faith to strongly believe that the Universe is flat.

in my opinion, I would say round. Why because everything within the universe seems to be of a circular shape or pattern.

Just because it had a beginning does not mean it cannot be infinite, which is my personal theory.

Assuming an even distribution of matter, the universe would be spherical.
