I'm going to Kona, Big Island in a few weeks. What are some recommendations on restaurants. I want the full spectrum, from cheap to gourmet as long as it's good.

Fujimama's Kona is a great place to get great Japanese-sort-of-fusion food. It's located at:

75-5719 Alii Drive
Kailua-Kona, HI 96740

Also, make sure to try O's Bistro. Everything is so fresh, and it also offers great noodle entree dishes. The restaurant is covered in artwork that is available for purchase as well:

75-1027 Henry Street Suite 102
Kailua-Kona, Hawaii

Bakeries are the BEST anywhere in Hawai'i, so make sure to also stop by Punalu'u bake shop. You'll be able to find a lot of treats that are made soooo richly and tasty :)

I know there's a Bubba Gump's out there--not sure if you're into that, but many people who have never been to Hawai'i like to check the place out. And then of course, there are many options for all of the resorts/hotels that are there, with their restaurants.

Check out the Big Island Grindz blog...even though the author focuses mainly on restaurants in Hilo, there are some places (and links) where he covers the other side of the island, including Kona.

roys, bubba gump & don hos resturant are the most famous. If you want something different that the locals go to try asking shopkeepers or the concierge at your hotel they always know the good spots!!
