Yea. It happens to me all the time. Even at the shops. When I reach the floor I want to get off on, all this people come rushing to get inside before it goes up again and then I'm stuck in there until everyone has gotten on. Sometimes I just come out straight away right after it stops so that I don't get trapped in there and stuff. =)

I pretty much always take the stairs, but I'm familiar with this scenario from back when I took the subway to work duing the daily rush hour. They tackled you even as the conductor was saying "Please stand back from the doors as the passengers exit" over his loudspeaker.
But my favorite is when a person comes to a dead stop the second they step off an escalator... as though the people behind them have any choice but to continue moving forward.

Only once. A group of people from a weight watchers convention tried to get in as I was getting out. Just kidding. Most people are courteous. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that one cannot get in until the others get out. I was stuck on an escalator for over an hour once. I know, it is an old joke. The trick is not to panic when it happens.

Elevator courtesy: People waiting to get on step to the side so that those inside can exit first.
So many people seem to have an issue with this.

Always. It's the same thing when I'm trying to alight from the train! I'll just make a loud TSKTSK noise and give them all the evil eye. If that fails, I'll bring my bangs/fringe down, look emo and walk. That will usually cause the sea to part. :p

Yes, but I don't have that problem anymore because I have my baby with me in her stroller most of the time. People part like the Red Sea when they see a baby stroller coming at them. I will run over their sorry butts if they don't get outta the way. Lady with a baby comin' through!!!

no, not exiting, but i have had trouble getting INTO an elevator because usually i run into oodles of women with ginormous strollers or tons of kids and don't have the courtesy to keep the door open as they are getting out.

Yes I have, But I have a plan I'm going to implement in a few years. I'm going to scream " Get out of my way! Can't you see a little old lady needs to get off! " That should work.
