I am sorry but this is the end of the line for me. When people start posting children's body parts on here as avatars, it is time for me to take my leave. That is one thing I refuse to put up with is child pornography. The trolls can have their little playground. I have notified Yahoo for what good it will do and have also notified other police agencies.
I am sorry, I will miss the good times we had. But this has gone way beyond the limits of what could be considered good taste.
Thank you for all of the laughs and good times. And I will remember the friends I made quite fondly, but as a mother and a grandmother, my morals and my integrity will not be compromised by such trashy people.

I respect your stand, but I am very sad to see you go. I am sad in more ways than one. We will miss your wit and intelligent Q/As. Your contribution to this forum has been both entertaining and educational.
Please reconsider your position. You have made this forum better. Yes there are some sick individuals seeking attention to themselves, but we cannot just give up. There are a bunch of young people in here that need a positive influence like yours.
Whatever your decision you have my deep respect.
Oh I prefer prunes, but it is hard to torn down the raisins. what can I say, I am a sucker for "rotten" fruits.

Oh, my gawd, I'm so glad I have not seen those yet! I think that is definately time that an agency with more power than Yahoo steps in and takes action against that. How pitifully disgusting. I don't blame you for taking off to avoid seeing that, and I'm sure I will give it a break if it's something that continues too. People like that deserve death.

I think it is sad, that the pictures are being allowed, to post at all....I don't enjoy them either, and have put in my two cents, about it as well.... And you will be completely missed, and know that you are loved, and respected, by many good people, on here.. It is a tragedy, to have to say good bye, to one of the greats, while the trolls lurk, and watch giggling, that their plans worked, at their self claimed victories... sad day indeed!!!

This is what the yokels refused to understand - those of us who are concerned get earmarked as unnecessarily parental, paranoid or out of touch. Sharing views does not equate to abuse, disgusting prejudicial language or exploitative imagery. It's a shame people of genuine imagination & intent are constantly forced to leave when we all could still benefit. There has to be a solution.

All silliness aside for once...while I respect the stand you are taking, I wish you'd reconsider. Having thankfully not seen the image you're describing, my reaction is indirect and therefore not a visceral as your own. However, it's long been clear to me that YA is a virtual microcosm for the vast array of innate potential - both good and bad - which comprises humanity. As in the "real" world, we encounter people of all types here: some easily remind us of what is best within our species, while others force us to confront the worst. And confront them, we must...or they diminish us - and everyone we care about - bit by bit, until we're seeping shadows of ourselves. Please don't withdraw your wit, your compassion, your integrity.
