No i believe annoyance is a more temporary feeling then dislike. I dislike closed minded, racist, homophobic, harmful people. I get annoyed with someone who types in all caps.

Annoying could be the same as disliking in some circumstances but generally its not. Annoying to me is someone who doesn't know when to be quiet. I also get annoyed with people who don't know how to speak english correctly. What I mean by that is when you chop up the english language on purpose. I also get annoyed when people have to cuss every other word I feel like that is no point of talking to someone like that.

Annoying is not the same as disliking. However, a trait that annoys me is when you cannot get someone to completely focus, or basically people with low attention spans. I cannot tell if they do it on purpose or if they really have a problem..

I'd say that everyone can be annoying at one point or another. To define "annoying" is a bit difficult, but I suppose it's a repetitive set of habits that a person has which tends to be unfavorable. For example, someone that talks too fast and too much can easily become annoying, because it's difficult to keep focused on what he or she is trying to say, and the listener eventually stops listening. I know, because I'm one of those people that talks a mile a minute and often uses ten times the amount of words that I need to in order to express myself. ;-)

Purposeful ignorance, and arrogance are the two things that annoy me the most in people. I can understand not knowing something, but choosing not to know when the opportunity to learn presents itself? baffling.
Annoyance and dislike aren't the same - to dislike someone, I have to actually invest emotional energy in them. An annoyance is a quick thing, come and gone.

It can be it actually depends on the person and whether he or she is obnoxious as well as being annoying.
I intensely dislike racists, homophobes, elitists, rankists, people who are mean for mean-ness sake and who are petty. I find these traits annoying and obnoxious. I also think arrogance in a person is annoying and generally an arrogant human being puts other people off.

I am annoyed with people who have decided long ago that they don't have to do ANYTHING in life to try to make things better for themselves or their families... Lazy people.. I worked 3 jobs for a very long time to support children as a single mother (divorced)..and it gauls me to see people who get government funding for sitting on their porch drinking beer on a hot summer day WATCHING the rest of us go off to work....
