Domicile is the principal place of abode of a person under the law.

Residence or domicle, depending on the context.

Residence is where the person lives.

Domicile is the last place that they lived where the intended to remain indefinitely.

You can leave a previous domicile and establish residence in a new place, without changing your domicile if the new residence is not someplace you plan to live indefinitely.
