ok so i just recently upgraded my video card from an old nvidia fx 5500 256mb to an e-geforce 7600 gt 256 mb pci-e.
i have to say i really notice the really big boost in performance and quality. but the only problem is that while im playing a game it minimizes the window and i have to click it to get back in the game and as soon as i get back it does the same thing and it keeps doing it over and over again and its getting really annoying. does anyone know what might be causing the problem?

Did you upgrade your power supply? It might be running hot at full load or near overload. Try a higher rated power supply?

Go into your video card utility program the video card came with.it should be loaded on your computer when you installed the software for the videocard.
go into your video card options and see if there is something in there you can adjust.

Very curious problem .. no sure exactly the cause.

I've be sure that I have the very latest nVidia drivers and DirectX (Aug07).

Good luck.

Did you uninstall other hardware drivers and did you disable the intergrated graphics hardware?
