He's more asian than anything. He's only 25% african american. I am so tired of seeing articles about Tiger being great for young black kids, helping blacks get into the game of golf, a great role model for black children etc. etc. etc. What about the asians? He's also native american and dutch. Can't he just be good for the game of golf period? Can't he just be a good role model for young people period?

Yes. He can be a role model for young people period! MOst fans love him for the way he plays, focuses and maintains his character. Barry Bonds could grow a lot from watching Tiger.

As a matter of fact, Tiger is a role model for us! But he isn't appreciated to the fullest by anyone who mentions race. He isn't a racist, nor is he running for office. So, why bother talking about race?

Why not mention his accomplishments, his style and his generosity to the community? That is what really makes a person...not his skin color.

first of all, maximum BLACKS ARE section AMERICAN "INDIAN," secondly, ALL BLACKS are blended. So, despite if Tiger weren't blended with Thai, he'd nevertheless be a blended Black guy or woman. And guess what i'm section Caucasian and section American "Indian." maximum Black all and sundry is. His dad is Black, basic as that. once you spot Tiger you do no longer say, whats up look at that Asian guy; you in basic terms understand that he's blended with Asian, yet say, look at that Black guy. LOL, if it became one among those "lame answer," why'd you respond? curiously that's going to've struck a chord with you someplace. BTW your punctuation is off. you purely use unmarried citation marks or speech marks whilst it rather is a quote interior a quote; as far as i will tell there is no narration happening. additionally, your punctuation is going interior the speech mark, no longer outdoors. so which you equate intelligence with seen representation? who's the simpleton back?

Well, he is a great role model for any young person, but he identities himself as a black man of his own free will. Secondly, nobody is trying to claim anyone. Just because he appeals to a certain group of people based on his success doesn't mean people want to claim him.

Who cares about Tiger Woods, where are you getting your information from. Blacks is not trying to claim Tiger, too me it sounds like your jeolous. You people always have an issue when someone is talented and happens to be black.. Tiger Woods is black, the Asian community is not excepting him as an asian. You got things mixed up, know what you are talking about before posting stupid comments. I am so sick of you racists as*holes...

He is a good role model for everyone. And I think Tiger Woods is a great athlete, he is so great in fact. People have stopped saying "wow he is such a good black golfer" people just say "he is a good golfer"

For black folks he's in the same category as Nicole Richie. She half and half, but more white than anything else. The rulr used to be, if your father is black, you are black. But today, if you can pass, you go with what you are most accepted with. Tiger: anybody, Nicole: white folks. Zoe kravitz: whatever floats her boat.

Black people need to take what they can get when it comes to celebrity role models. Look at all the other black celebrities. They're all rappers or jocks. Let them have Tiger, I say.

well racism makes him black.

in 1892 Homer Plessy was barred from the white traincar for being 1/8 black, and Tiger himself was asked to not play a few times for being black.

I thought the rule was, "If you're 1/32 black, you're black," or at least a LONG time ago. Otherwise, there would be more people of the white majority.

NOTE: I'm talking about history, NOT my opinion.

Ok, my great, great, great, granddaddy was white, so I'm not black either.

You're kidding me right? If Tiger was only 1/4 black he would not be as dark as he is:
