Maybe Haverford? Harvey Mudd would be better for engineering.

You will need to apply to more than one school anyway if you want to have a better chance of being admitted to one of them, so why not apply to both? Both are excellent schools, and while I would ordinarily think of Haverford as being a little better overall, it is more social science and humanities-oriented, while Harvey Mudd has more of a focus on science. I would want to know about the lab facilities at Haverford to make sure that science isn't underemphasized, so that you can get the best possible biology experience there. Both are respected and are in very pleasant areas.

harvey mudd is part of the claremont consortium or wahtever and you can take classes at the other colleges. idk anything about haverford.

you should definitelyapply to more than 2 colleges because you may not be admitted to either..
