I prefer the "whirring" sound of my fan...haha It lulls me to sleep.

Me too I can't fall asleep with out it . If I sleep in a hotel I have a little fan I bring with me just for the noise.

I actually need a little more background noise like talk radio. If not that, I can fall asleep to one of those mini waterfall set ups with the rocks that you can plug into the wall, very soothing.

I like the quietness and only use a fan because of the breeze. I also like it to be dark, my husband on the other side wants a light on and the TV can stay on all night.

Yes, unfortunately! Either that or a droning sound, like a fan. I can't sleep if there is any kind of noise!

I like background noise as well, but unfortunately I have to wear ear plugs every night because my adorable husband snores like a chain saw!

I have to have the tv on with the volume very low. I set the sleep timer. I can't sleep with out it!
