A male cat pissed in my sneakers. I soaked them in pine-sol for five days. The odor is still really bad, it smells like a skunk odor but there are no skunks in my neighborhood. I sprayed them several times with Fabreeze but the odor won't go away. Any suggestions ?..............P U !

Wash the inside with liquid dishwasher soap and let soak over night. Wash them in the washing machine with 1 cup of vinegar and put in the dryer or air dry. Fabreeze is useless on cat pee.

Have you tried dousing the insides of your Sneakers with ''Armor Hammer Baking Powder'' for maybe like 24 hours long ??
Then wash them clean in Hot running water and let sit and dry for awhile.

Buy a bottle of lemon juice and put your shoes in the washer on low water level put lemon juice in let the water ( I would use a whole bottle of lemon juice)fill up and soak them over night and let them run through cycle then add detergent and run in normal wash.

stop in to your local er, the duty nurse there should know about a liquid thas used in hosp for urine smells. it works. your pharmacy guy might even have it. good luck and your cat was just marking territory. imiss mine, they just get old and pass away. had two abbies.they are smart and have a sense of humor

Soak it In Vinegar or Put in the freezer. But it will ruin your sneakers. Hee hee hee....
