1.Firefox is way better than the other two you have mentioned. It is fully open source and highly customizable with tons of free add-ons available. Close second will be Opera, with a host of features too.
2.Yes, Firefox most probably has a version for Mac.

I would say Firefox because it supports almost all the websites rather than safari. You can check all the e-mails including Yahoo! which you can on safari, but not the latest versions.
But safari loads faster and doesn't take up too much space for toolbars and stuff and it is really safe browser, it's neat.
Mozilla does work on mac.
Internet doesn't work on macs unless you use Windows XP/Vista on a mac and boot it up there!

Firefox. Yes it will work on Mac. Why use Firefox? It's highly customizable and it doesn't give you crap like IE does. I'm so glad Mozilla exists. As for Safari...Dont really know much about it. The only other browser you could look into is Opera. I'm not sure if its available for Mac however.

firefox works on mac and pc, internet explorer is no longer compatible with mac, safari... although finally improving is not yet up to firefox standards. Firefox has many different plugins that can be downloaded for free which block/hide advertisements that you do not wish to see, among other things... there are hundreds of plugins for firefox, and people are making new plugins each day! with that kind of daily improvement firefox is most definitely your best bet for internet.
maybe in a few years, after apple has finally worked all the bugs out of safari (which was created because apple no longer wished to pay for the ability to use internet explorer) then maybe it will be better for mac users.
i am on a pc, and i use firefox as do most of my friends
my g/f's family (mac household) is entirely run by firefox for internet browsing and they love firefox
mozilla.com check it out, see some of the plugins, my favorite plugin is adblock plus

firefox is better! trust me, i'm using it right now. my favorite part of it is that if you close a tab, you can open it back up and still use the back button. if you did that with explorer, you would just get that one page--no back option [i hope i explained that well]. it also has spell check. there are plenty of other pros, though.
yeah, you can use firefox with a mac.
