Paralells on macbook question?

I have a new macbook and want to run windows on it. It seems like there is a free version of parallels 3.0, what exactly is that compared to buying paralells? Also if I get paralells what else would I need to purchase and how much would that be?

its not a free full version, its a 30 day trial. if u buy parallels u need a legal copy of windows.
