Play some Led Zeppelin songs, "rock and roll" is fun and pretty standard. Whole Lotta love by Zeppelin is good too.

Shakira's "Underneath Your Clothes" is fun acoustically and girls love it; "Just A Girl", by No Doubt was fun because of the string skipping; "Just Like Heaven", because of the droning high "E" in the recurring lead theme; they are old but they were fun to play!

Eric Johnson is one of my favorite guitarists who rates up there with Eddie and Stevie Ray. Johnson's instrumental works carry a cool different style---as evidenced in my favorite song of his titled "Soulful Terrain".
