It's much easier to hate people if you label them. Labeling people who don't agree with you is the American way! Sad, eh?

By name calling and fighting over issues for which legislation will probably never pass both parties are able to avoid real issues. We need more than just two parties in order to get the reforms we need passed in this country.

Only those far to the right or left resort to such inflammatory comments. I am a liberal Democrat who has never referred to any conservative as a Nazi. Those are knee jerk type comments that are intended to stir up controversy. I refuse to stoop to those tactics.

Because both are using incorrect terms -- purely because those terms are emotionally loaded, and therefore useful to launch mindless attacks against the other.

And if people really don't care what words mean -- then their communication is (by definition) meaningless.
