He's definitely a centrist at best. I agree he is more liberal than conservative, but he feels comfortable in the Republican party, and he has to define himself and see whether the party sees him as belonging to it.

But he's more liberal than many Democrats.

He is tough on crimes, fiascally conservative. Believes in lower taxes and the appointing strict constructionists to the bench. Against illegal immigration.

Yeah he is liberal on a few social issues, but other than that he is a pretty darn good Republican. Far better than any of the communists the Democrats have running.

I think the same thing. We elected Arnold here in California just to get a republican in office, knowing full well that he was a democrat in elephants clothing. He has outspent Davis by billions. We don't need Rudy to be our flag barrer. We are going with a true conservative, Fred Thompson.

This is modern day politics. They just pick a side they think will be the most beneficial and go with it. It's almost like strategy in a good card game and you never show all your cards.

That's what I think, too. He approves of abortion, he supports gay marriage.... Those are not what Republicans believe.
