I want to know how long (time) it will take me to travel a nautical mile (distance) at different knots (speed).

Go to a marine supply store or online and get what is called a "nautical slide rule", its a time speed and distance calculator. The best one is made by Weems and Plath. When you have any 2 factors the 3rd will be shown on the wheel. Its the best tool for navigation.

At 1 knot you will travel 1 nautical mile in 1 hour.
After that, its a simple matter of division!

Distance in nautical miles divided by knots of speed will be the time it takes....
