Typhoon and hurricanes are the same in magnitudes just on different sides of the earth...one is Atlantic..the other Pacific. Both are bigger in terms of wind and rain than a monsoon. But a monsoon could be just as deadly as a hurricane or typhoon in flash flooding areas. All are destructive and leave so much chaos in their wake.

A monsoon isn't even a storm technically. All it is is a change in the wind flow. It happens in India, California, and Africa. It's the worst in India because the winds pushes moisture from the Indian Ocean over the country, bringing rain, but the clouds get trapped by the Himalayas and are ringed out like a sponge, soaking the area.
A hurricane in the Phillipines did something similar. It ran into a mountain and dumped 13 inches on it in a single day. But like it was said, hurricanes and typhoons are tropical cyclones and in a completely different category. Typhoon are tropical cyclones in the eastern Pacific, and hurricanes are Atlantic storms. Until Hurricane Wilma the strongest storm on record was Super-Typhoon Tip. There are usually mopre typhoons during a year than hurricanes, because the conditions in the eastern Pacific are a little friendier to tropical cyclones.

Monsoon are seasonal winds. They dont have whirling motion as in the case of typhoons and hurricanes. At the most ,monsoon brings heavy rain and cause floods sometimes.Thunderstorm activity is also very rare in monsoon clouds as they are generally stratiform clouds. So monsoon cannot be compared with Hurricanes and typhoons which are usually violent.
Strengthwise, typhoons and hurricanes are almost the same.

A monsoon is really not comparable to a hurricane or a typhoon, because it is not a cyclonic storm.
Hurricanes and typhoons each occur over about the same range of strength and duration.
