I enjoy college football more, because of the pageantry of it all, the David vs. Goliath games, the startling comebacks. College football is just more exciting to watch.

NFL. A couple of reasons being:

1) the level of play is much higher. The Only the best college guys make it. Some college players have absolutely no chance of playing in the NFL.

2) Only one true champion. It may not be the best team but they beat the top opponent and earned it. College has too many Bowl games that it takes away from who is best. There is always an argument at the end of the season.

Now don't get me wrong. I love college football as much as the next guy. The scoring, the sounds, the enthusiasm... its just that in the NFL its "Any Given Sunday". Its not that way in college football.

And as for your "can you honestly" question... Watch the 12/22/03 Packers vs Raiders game. The day after Brett Favre's father died. Watching that game will give you chills. His performance is truly unbelievable.

College football is better because the kids play to win not for the money. Also there are like twice as many good games in college 2007 fiesta bowl ( boise state, Oklahoma) , 2006 rose bowl (texas , USC,).

College hands down. The tradition(OSU Michigan, ND USC, Alabama Aurburn) The regional match ups in the bowl games, and last but not least, the fact that there ISN"T a playoff, which makes every single game count, instead of a few at the end. Also, because they are kids playing, emotion plays a huge roll. A team can be favored by 14 and lose 41 14. You just never know what can happen. When was the last time a pro coach did a fake punt in a huge game on their own 14?

College ball, hands down. Reasons? The players are not egomaniacal millionaires, and most won't ever be, so they play with heart and they leave it all on the field.

The tradition - college vs. college, rather than team vs. team. The whole stadium gets into it and the mood is electric

The underdog - as you stated, an unknown team has a great chance to beat a powerhouse. Much different from the lopsided NFL. This makes for fantastic games.

Plus, there's just something about football on a Saturday afternoon in the fall, you know?

I love watching both for different reasons.
NCAA- It's awesome to watch your team rush out onto the field playing the school fight song. Watching players develop from freshman into, hopefully, key players. Representing where you're from and the excitement of seeing if, and what bowl your going to. Grudge matches with a conference foe that you can't stand, and the sweet joy when your team takes home the rivalry trophy. So much....
NFL- It's the pros, the best competition and skill level a football player can reach. Seeing your team built from the greatest players in the country. Kids you watched develop in college now putting up against some of the greatest football players around. Rooting for your team to hopefully win your division from fierce rivals and try to make a strong playoff run. And come on, Superbowl Sunday?!?!

This is harder than the basketball question. I like them both but some of the off the field issues in Pro football are taking a toll. If its my favorite teams in college or the NFL I can't make a choice, but when its just a game, I might pick a college one over a pro.

Now that was one the most exciting games I have ever watched, and except for the Championship Game between Texas and USC, 4th and 9 from the 11, who ya gonna call.
Vince Young put on the greatest single performance that has ever been seen in a college game. What he realy has will be told by his pro career, so I pick the NFL as my favorite, but will always watch both.

Hell yeah college is way better than the NFL, there so much at stakes at every college games. College you have a tradition that goes back 100 years plus of football and all the Alumni chanting against each other on game day is awesome. The NFL is to serious and all business like atmosphere, is not fun. College rules.

Well I prefer NFL over NCAA because there is a chance that players stay on the same team to be the face of a franchise (Like in Carolina...Mike Minter was our leader for 10 years..he just retired) In NCAA...at best you have leaders for three years.

Now..I'll watch college football..it's always fun...it's football afterall..nice to see the prospects too...but NFL doesn't have 77-0 games...there are a lot more close games in the NFL...the good kind.

College. More passion. Football on Saturday afternoon. The bands playing throughout the whole game. The chants. The rivalries. Every game counts. So many games to watch. Just good stuff.
