I would say Teachers & Parents have very stressful jobs.

Teachers have very stressful jobs because they are shaping children’s life. They are teaching them about the world, how and why it works. They teach them how to be an adult, how to work in society and who to be a good citizen. They teach them how to use their brains, their emotions and their feelings. They challenge them to think. They are with our (meaning societies) children 40+ hours a week. They do not get paid very well and they get treated with little respect. That is very stressful.

Parents are on the same boat. They are trying to raise a child to be a respectable adult and in this day and age it is becoming harder and harder. Now a days both parents have to work, and the kid is shuffled around. I think it must be stressful to keep up with the demands of being a parent. To be emotional there 24/7 for another human being. You can turn it off for a spouse when you are in the shower, but you can not when you are a Mom or Dad you have to be on 24/7 for 365 days a year for the rest of your life. You can’t just stop being Mom because you feel like it. You don’t get a sick day there is no vacation. A lot of people forget that when they have kids. They want the cute baby. They forget that baby is going to become a mouthy teen, then an expensive college student, then an adult that needs advice…it never ends. Children never go away. You can’t quit being a parent. Once you commit, that’s it, for life. Now that’s is one stressful job.

In conclusion both Teachers & Parents have overly stressful jobs and need well-deserved breaks from children.

Alaskan crab fishing. It's the most risky job in the U.S. You basically stay on a ship in the middle of a cold ocean over the night while chopping off ice on the sides of the boat so your ship doesn't sink, all while hauling on crabs in giant wired tanks. Many people get killed during the season, even if it's high pay.

There has been research that shows that Air Traffic Controllers have extrememly high amounts of stress related to their job.
Could you imagine having a job where every day, even the slightest mistake could kill hundreds or thousands of people? I don't think I could do that.

Anything retail or dealing with people constantly. Adjusting to being yelled at or treated badly on a daily basis takes a toll.

I guess an Air Traffic Controllor would rank pretty high... could you imagine knowing that one wrong command or instruction could kill hundreds of people instantly if you screwed up, now that would be some pressure...

I would say anything that you don't like to do. When you're happy with your choice, you learn to manage the most stressful situations. When you're not doing what you want, you may (or not) be stressed, because you're unhappy.

I would think a triage doctor/surgeon would be terrifically stressful.
Life and death in your hands and quick decisions at each turn...
