It all depends on the size of the bearded dragon. You might want to talk to the pet store employee and see what would be the best for him. What might even work better is not a tank but maybe a homemade cage where he could climb and walk around better than a tank.

well up front for tank, play sand,lights,the dragon(50$-300$ 40 gallon tank),the terrarium,cage furnishings so around 400-500$ dollars Then theres the electric bill, crickets, its a never ending process. So if thats to much stay with a leopard gecko or greeen anole they end up at about 200$
