I must say I kinda like the man myself. He seem like a nice man and sticks by what he believes. He seems to be the only real conservative candidate. What do you say?

I think your assessment of him is correct. I have been doing my research on him and have watched / heard 3 interviews with him. The more I learn about him the more I like him. I think he would be a great candidate and the right person for the job of President of the United States.

He is a likeable man... he can act and I guess that will make him a play the role of a conservative but his voting record and his writings show a very moderate and progressive man.

I don't have a problem with that. I do have a problem with him being in the Senate as long as he was without any real legislation written by him or his office... I have also heard that he had missed a lot of votes in the Senate. The other problem (which could be overcome) is that it seems that the only real reason why people like him is because they know him from television and the movies... I think this because everyone tells me he is a "real conservative" but his past has shown him not to be.

No offense to you... I am just very suspicious. I would rather have a progressive in the White House but I don't like when candidates act one way to just get votes.

No I don't. He really is very conservative and I've had more than enough of that for too many years. We have to get this country back to the way it was before the Bush Dynasty....and don't even mention that they are talking about Jeb Bush running for President. Yikes! The Bushes have left so many wounds and scars that will take years to heal. I want people of the world to like and look UP to, not DOWN on, the United States of America! I'm tired of being the BAD GUYS!

I doubt it. He can't even decide if he is going to run or not, so that can show he has a difficult time making tough decisions.

Running for office is a huge decision, but it's small potato's compared to the types of issues he would have to make as a president.

Just like the Republicans accused John Kerry of flip-flopping Democrats, I imagine will use that against him. He's running he's not running, he doesn't know. He's running out of time and options.

Not sure. Thompson has to declare as a candidate. Raise a lot of money, and then prove himself to the voters.

As of right now he is saying what he feels and his true opinions on issues. He isn't sticking his finger in the air to find out which direction the wind is blowing to take a stand on something. If he keeps that up and is willing to work with the other party instead of alienating them like most of the current candidates, he would do well.

I'm sure he's a nice person; unfortunately, that doesn't necessarily qualify him to be President. After all, *I* am a nice person, but I'd suck at being president. I just don't think he's got the necessary experience and background; of course, after Bush, he'd probably look like the 8th wonder of the world!

Fred will make a great president. He is the kind of conservative the republician party has been looking for.

Why not, if he has the qualities of a good leader. The country needs leaders like that.
