The Way by Fastball because.........................
This song is based on the true story of Lela and Raymond Howard, an elderly couple from Salado, Texas who drove to a nearby family reunion and kept going. She had Alzheimer's disease and he was recovering from brain surgery. When they disappeared, a reporter from the Austin American-Statesman wrote a series of articles about the missing couple. Fastball bassist Tony Scalzo came up with the idea for the song after reading the articles (the band is from Austin). He says, "It's a romanticized take on what happened" - he "pictured them taking off to have fun, like they did when they first met." However, he found out after writing the song that the couple had died. They were found at the bottom of a canyon in Arkansas about a 3-day drive from their destination

I've got 15,000 records in my collection altogether, so it's a hard question for me to answer. Usually, I tell people it's "Crystal Blue Persuasion" by Tommy James And The Shondells, although "If I Could Only Dance With You" by Jim Glaser, "Country Bumpkin" by Cal Smith, "Send Me Down To Tucson" By Mel Tillis, "Betcha By Golly Wow" by the Stylistics and "Come And Get Your Love" by Redbone come to mind too.

Bringing it closer to the 21st Century, though, um... I really think "Not The Average Girl In Your Video" by India Arie has killer lyrics and I'm a fan of Lil Rob as well.

I don't know. Hell, I can't pick a favorite song, a favorite group or a favorite artist. Too much of a mad range in my collection!

In that case: TLC's "Unpretty". That song is really inspiring and makes me cry sometimes. Especially at the part in the chorus where it says

"But if you can’t look inside you
Find out who am i, too
Be in a position to make me feel so damn unpretty" because that's how i feel sometimes... "unpretty" or just plain "ugly". So i really love this song because it inspires me to love myself and forget all the negative things every time i listen too it. I'm about to tear right now and I'm not listening to it >.<

Probably "Scattered" by Green Day. It's the song that's going to play at my wedding. It's pretty, and me and my boyfriend relate to this song completely.
