I still haven't read it, nor bought it, but just want to know the answer to my one pressing question: What happened to Harry, Ron, and Hermione?

Read the book. Ends up Harry is the last Horcrux and is killed but comes back to life. Neville kills Nagini and becomes the herbology professer for Hogwarts. Harry and Ginny get married and have 3 kids Albus, James, and Lily. Hermione and Ron get married and have 2 kids Hugo and Rose. Draco gets married and has one kid Scropius. The sixth horcrux is Rowena Ravenclaws Diadum. Voldermort dies because of the killing curse rebounded on him. Remus and Tonks get married and die together together in the battle of Hogwarts along with Fred and Collin Creevey. Mrs. Weasley killed Bellatrix Lestrange to save her daughter Ginny. In the end it was a good book.

Harry and Ginny have 3 kids
Ron and Hermione have 2 kids
it doesn't say this in the book, but JKR said
Harry becomes Head of Auror office
Ron's an Auror and works with George in Weasley Wizarding Weezes
Hermione first works in the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures, then switches to the Department of Magical Law Enforcement

Ron went over to the dark side. He eventually was thrown into Azkaban. Harry was killed by Nagini when he was attempting to kill the Nagini horcrux, but at least he got his revenge on Snape, who we find out was evil all along. Hermione helped Harry on the hunt to destroy horcruxes, and she ended up marrying Victor Krum after the Dark Lord finally fell (and Neville killed Voldemort in the end). Hermione and Victor had five children.

Well, during the book they all work on their little Voldemort mission together, just the three of them. Ron leaves then comes back which I thought was a dumb little subplot.
At the end, it is happy. Ron and Hermione get married and Harry gets married to Ginny. Harry has 3 children and Ron has 2.

Harry and Ron are killed by Hagrid, who was always a secret Death Eater. Hermione has a short but torrid affair with Malfoy, but finally settles down with Ginny.

They all went over to the dark side. Ron found out Darth Vader was his father. Hermoine married Draco and had a little red headed baby. Harry came out of the closet. Then all was well. Read the book if you want to know. Pax - C

I don't want to spoil it for you, so suffice it to say that none of them die in the defense of Hogwarts; they all live happily ever after, like folks do in all good fairy tales. And the last word in the book is not "scar" as was originally stated / planned.
