I'd love to come! Alas, Beijing is about as far as the Olympics could get from me (I guess Sydney might have been further). I'm sure they'll be a success in China!

Visited China 2 years ago. Loved it. Even then they were doing a great job preparing for the Olympics. Best of Luck! Still hope the USA takes home the most medals though.

I'm poor. I don't have the money to go. I'll watch them on TV when it's convenient for me. Plus the air quality and being watched all the time by the police and government make me not want to go even if I had money. I trust their government less than mine---oh I'll get ready to pack for my trip to prison since I'm probably being monitored and labeled the t-word!

No way.

It's a dangerous place for one thing, for health because of pollution and quality of food; and just plain normal safety.
It has been reported that suitcases and personal items dissappear when you turn your back to it.

Face it, China is a communist country and its people are restless and poor, why would you go there?

Beijing, with it's horrible air quality, government spies following visitors everywhere, tapped hotel phones, thought police, and China's horrible record on human rights? No, thanks.
