If its hurts enough to make want to avoid bending it, chances are its broken. I only had a minor fracture a few years ago and the pain was still incredible. I went a couple of days without anything because I wasn't sure there was anything wrong with it either (well I thought it could be something else). If you're in pain, and you think its broken, tell someone. If you're not sure wait only a couple of days max. You need to get an xray and have a doctor check it out if the pain stays. You don't want your bones to heal in the wrong position...that would cause even more problems.

The best thing you can do is tell your mom and go to the hospital, even if it's far away. It sounds pretty bad, possibly fractured. If you don't go get professional help now you are risking that your wrist never heals. Trust me, it would be a lot more stress for your mom to deal with that. Don't try to do anything yourself, other than putting ice on it, or you can make it a lot worse.

Why are you here instead of at the hospital getting it x-rayed and immobilized? There are some fractures, the scaphoid being most notorious, that may not even show up on initial x-rays but need to be immobilized to limit the risk of non-healing and a chronically painful wrist. You should assume it's something like that until you're absolutely sure it isn't.

You might have dislocated it or have a sever sprain. With either case, broken, dislocated or severe sprain, you need to see the doc.
