The guy holds some amazing records. Only guy in the 400 homer, 400 stolen bases, club........and only guy in the 500 / 500 club. 7 MVP awards, when none of his peers have ever had more than 3. I just think, that since Barry has never been proven guilty of anything, Selig should awknowledge the importance of the feat. The fact that he isn't in San Francisco for this week's Giant home games makes me lose all respect for the man. I know he's a good friend of Hank Aaron. I know that everybody THINKS that Barry did steroids...... and I know that Barry is a jerk sometimes. The fans can judge the man.......but, under the circumstances, that everyone is innocent until PROVEN guilty, I think Selig should be more professional. Right now he just looks like a spoiled little kid throwing a temper tantrum.

Yeah, yeah, I get it. I accidently put the question in the wrong category. I apologize to those of you that were so traumatized by the fact that a baseball question ended up in the football category. Contact my attourney at 1-800-blow-me. We'll make arrangements to pay for your therapy.

Iam no supporter of Barry Bonds but its a joke to say that Selig didn't know about the steroid era. He chooses to ignore it rather than accept the fact that it happened and he let it happen. Bud Selig is the commisher of baseball and he should be there regardless of how he feels towards Aaron (even though he broke it the fair way)
Selig does look very unprofessional...he should at least plan out how he is going to react since he knows he will be on T.V. He looked in pain and confused when Bonds broke the record and he will stay that way untill A-Rod hits 300 more A-Bombs

I don't quite understand why you preface the Barry and Steroids issue with "I know that everyone THINKS that Barry did steroids". We don't think that, he DID them. It's not a guess, it's a fact. I wish people wouldn't suggest simply because he never tested positive, that he may not have done them. He did. He hasn't tested positive because they give everyone so much notice that testing is going to happen. That being said, Selig is a goof. If you want to punish him, do it, don't let him continue to play and then still treat him like he is 'kind of guilty' If he isn't going to punish him, at least treat Bonds (and others) like they have played fairly

You might want to ask this question in the baseball section.

Personally I can't stand Barroids. They only thing I agree with is that Selig should be there. You answered your own question he is friends with Hank Aaron. He sent Frank Robinson to be his representive tonight in San Fran which is pretty much like Selig being there because from what i've read and heard Frank Robinson has no use for Bonds either.

I get the feeling that you either clicked something wrong, or posted this question in the Baseball section and didn't get the answer you wanted, so you're hoping that us less-knowledgeable football fans would give you the answer you want.

Well the fact is Barry Bonds cheated, get over it, he doesn't deserve any sympathy.

Barry did say he he used steriods, unknowingly.

Barry should join Pete Rose and "Shoeless" Joe Jackson and be banned from baseball as soon as he retires. That's the only thing we can root for now. Also the fact that he is a "loser" and never won a championship will hurt him.

He's not any more unprofessional than Barry "scumbag" Bonds. Barry is not a jerk some of the time, Barry is a jerk all of the time.
