Too young to be in love....?

Why is always that one person that says that teens can't be in love? I'm 15 with my head on straight, and i know where i'm going. Nobody will stop me from living my dream. Yes, I've had a bad childhood, but my family has done so much for me and they are there when i need them. im truly blessed. my bf is not my "security" as someone said to my other ?. he is someone that gives me that extra push to be the best i can be, he makes me happy, and doesnt want s*x. he loves me for who i am. i could go on forever, but i know how i feel and can admit i'm in love and he is too. why is it okay that someone 18 can be in love and having sex, but i'm 15 and a virgin until marriage, but society says i can't be in love? Age is nothing but a number. My question is what are your views on love, and do you think there is an age that is too young or too old? my aunt was 15 and dated my uncle who was 18 (my grandma thought he was younger), and now they're married with 2 children.Thank you and God bless!

Oh we dont plan on marrying too young. I want to wait until I'm out of college, atnd he said there's no need to rush it and to wait until we were ready. My aunt got married at 22 which is young.

I'm 21 now, I believe it is very possible to be in love at your age. I was in love at 16 and I went through the same thing, though I never fully appreciated that fact until much later.

The catch is that due to your youth you have to be wary of many factors. You've probably heard it a 100 times, but undeveloped emotions, hormones have a profound effect on your decisions these are the reasons you need to take things slow.

Youth leaves you vulnerable and naive, it doesn't mean its not possible, it just means that society generally takes a closer look at 'love' between young people. Its the same reason why as a society we do not prosecute young offenders at an adult level. Yes it is possible that they are truly capable of adult-level criminal actions, but due to their undeveloped brains we look at this cases more carefully. Same with informed consent.

Live in the moment, enjoy. Who cares if you date for 6 years vs marrying young? No one is saying you guys should separate, just take things slow and don't rush into marriage or anything just to prove something to others :P

Love is God's first commandment, and because in spite of your past troubles, you can manage to love yourself enough to wait for sex and marriage and have your priorities together, that is all that is required. I think that if you're young enough to realize that it is love than you're young enough to recognize it when it happens to you. Today's society as a whole is screwed up.... therefore, you have to have your own belief system. You believe and have faith in God, the Father, which, to me, is all that is needed. You are a gem and your bf recognizes that... you know that...I see that by your lifestyle and things you have said, don't allow people that have no connection to God, or any kind of belief system that means anything to cloud your judgement or heart. There is always going to be someone with an opinion and opinions are like a$%es, everyone has one... know your God, you self, your worth, and you cannot fail! Be blessed... and God loves you and so do I.

You seems to be a mature young lady . However, please be careful and use wisdom to make a decision. Many young girls are still lack of wisdom so they often do thing that they will regret later--that why most people do not want girls to have a relationship when they are teenagers.

When I was your age. I thought my ex was my true love and the one, but I am now get older. I often laugh about how foolish I was.

Love can hit at anytime. It has no discrimination when it comes to age, race, gender.

Most people say teens can't love because teens tend to make their claims based on reasons that aren't realistic, such as "because he ignores his friends during lunch," or " he's always starring at my eyes." or better yet, "he complements me" it is such junvenile remarks that make most people giggle at the thought that a teenager is in love.

You will know when you're both in love when you naturally trust, communicate, and respect each other. Most importantly, you'll know after you've each have gone through your own dark moments in life.

its just that its hard to see you with baby that young and trying to have job or whatever and stuff that is mainly what they are saying back when they were working full time jobs at that time and yes, there are many that married back then 14 or so. i have two cousins married very young and are together today but it takes work and togetherness and some don't have it any more but sounds good to me.

i agree age is just a number,and you for sure can fall in love when your a teenage,i fell in love with my husband,when i was 15,and i married him when i was 18 and he is 4 years older then me,and we have been married for 25 years,so don;t let anyon tell you,your not in love beacuse of your age,good luck to you and your boyfriend
