I'm watching a Science channel program about the next mission to the moon, scheduled to launch in October 2008. When Bush announced his plans to send men back to the moon, and to attempt a permanent manned base on the moon, he was roundly attacked by liberals. Now this program is celebrating the upcoming mission, without any acknowledgment that Bush was the instigator of the attempt. Why the hypocrisy? Is it the scientific establishment that has the anti-Republican bias, or is it the media?

Naaah, I say you suck, Naxell.

Anyway, to answer your question, I think damn near everyone in this country has a bias against Bush because they're too damn stupid or just don't want to hear that in any case where they blame Bush other people were to blame too.

I think it's the media first, and the scientific community have latched on to a Good Thing .Wow they have a sympathetic
'giant' on there side in the Want / need to get there point across.
Some people are too ready to let the media do there thinking, for them. They have become like a flock of frightened sheep., ready to believe what the media is convinced is correct.
I think back to the stupid power struggles during my school years "Oh this girl is popular -better hang around some one in her crowd-ooo wait a minute -this guy is a football star this week ,better sing his praises." When the attention shifts the sheep follow.
What ever happened to thinking for ones self. We still fear the playground bully. We still want to play it safe and do the "popular'' thing.
A broadcaster doesn't become an expert on anything just because he sits behind a microphone! .
My God what an awesome opportunity to broadcast your opinion and have so very many listen to you . Oh how tempting it must be to abuse that power and attempt to sway and misinform so many.
Again , I say that far too many people are willing to be led. So many are willing to allow so few to tell them how and what to think.
Scary !The thinking public had better be willing to get off the couch and go vote !!

Bias - of any kind, but specifically politically and religious - hinders science. Scientific and technological advance suffer delay and become questionable in the face of such bias.

Political and religious affairs belong in historical accounts of scientific and technological projects, but their place in a science program is questionable.

They're also ignoring robbing every other NASA program to pay for the Monn Mission, since they didn't raise the budget at all. So he didn't get credit, while not getting credit for gutting every other NASA program.

I was going to credit bush for the total destruction of the world, but I didn't want to remove that achievement from the jews of israel! Remember they were the ones that invented the nuclear bomb!
