They don't suck - others are just envious of their success. I'm a Jays fan, but I admire what the Yankees do year after year, which is to win a lot of games.
And for the guy above me who claims that the Yankees have only "a couple" of guys that they didn't "buy," you might want to revise that - four of their eight regular position players are homegrown:
Jorge Posada
Robinson Cano
Derek Jeter
Melky Cabrera
They're not the only team that spends money, they just happen to be willing to spend whatever it takes to win and they do a good job of it. I don't like them, but I have to give respect where it's due.

The Yankees don't suck, they are 20-7 since the All-Star break. They are coming on hard, and the Red Sox can hear them coming! Yes, "take a look at their lineup"! A-Rod isn't particularly hot right now, but otherwise they are on fire man!! YEAH!!When he goes on one of his hot streaks he can carry the team for a month, and he is due to go off, just in time to play the Red Sox this month.
You can tell the answers from Red Sox fans. The answers are crude and make no sense. The team is "carrying" Cano? Interesting. So I guess that means that they "carried him" last week, when he was co-player of the week, with Carl Crawford. I guess they "carried" Cano, when he hit .420 (42-100) in July. I guess they are "carrying" him since the all-star break, even though he is slumping at .416 (42-101) I guess the Yankees are "carrying" Cano even though he has almost the same number of RBIs (65) as Big Sloppy DH Ortiz (68). And as horrible as Cano is, he somehow managed to lead the majors in hits in July and had 24 RBI. I'm so glad the Yankees are carrying this bum. But the Red Sox hate him, so that means he's great, and another Yankee they fear. And he's only 24, so he's going to be around a LONGGGGG time!! Get used to #24 Yankee haters!
Still, I would like examples of Proctor trying to "play the hero". That is news to me.
And as for having only a couple of homegrown players, WRONG again. Let's see. Jeter, Mariano, Posada, Cano, Cabrera, Wang, Pettitte, Phillips, and Hughes and Chamberlain were brougt up recently. Sounds like more than a couple to me.
I laugh at Yankee haters. Some of you are so immature, so ignorant, that you ignore facts, make stuff up, and spin things to fit your "arguments". Instead of making arguments, it's all insults and name-calling. It makes for a great laugh.
You do realize that by starting your question witn "NON yankees fans only", that you are encouraging Yankee fans to answer, don't you?

Its sad that u had to ask this question twice to get attention.
I am a Yankee fan, but you couldn't stop me from answering,
could you. If you are really scared of the Yankee fans, then why ask questions?
1- a guy who calls himself fatkid shouldnt even be asking questions about baseball because its for people who play and know their stuff.
2- One more game and they are tied with the Tigers for Wild Card. We will see you in october. I dont care if they are beating bad team, so long as they get the Ws, because u dont get 2 wins for beating a good team. And u think they suck, go check the standings. there are teams with better players and worse records than yankees.
if u dont know what u r talkin about, then dont talk.

i think of Derek Jeter is an excellent individual besides as an excellent participant. From what I see, Jeter performs the pastime with type and we could his on-field overall performance talk for him. He additionally popular a charity to help little ones stay away from drug and alcohol dependancy. i think of he's between the few function fashions baseball has outstanding now. i might have him on my group any day.

It's not that the Yankees suck as a team. It is what they stand for. They have no conscience. Money is all they care about.
