Seriously. There is the Mac Mini, and even though they updated it today, it's just not powerful enough for me. The IPhone is nice, but starting at 500 dollars?!

Apple designs everything perfect. Its worth saving your money. And they use very high quality products to make their computers. Mac computers are not very expensive for what you get. Apple doesn't make slow crappy computer that will quit on you in a couple years. Mac is perfect for anything. It runs five times faster then Windows Vista. Plus it is practicly virus proof. Mac has about every program Windows. Mac is the easiest, safest, and the best os ever. Its also the World's Most Advanced. You also never have to worry about files that work with Windows. Macs can open all microsoft files. They can open office files and if you know iTunes you know a mac. Apple makes the best computers because quality matters to them! Apple is the way of the future and thats why they are growing 3 times faster then Windows. At the rate they are going the could take over microsoft by 2012.
The link I have below has info about Mac and all the computers. I would just click around.

Unless you have a good reason for buying a mac, an older pc with Linux usually runs just as fast, makes much fewer assumptions about what you want to do, and does everything I could want a computer to ever do when I want it to do it.

The only people that I know who use macs are graphics artists, a coffee shop and a small number of programmers. The easy to use commercials are a joke to me. I never found a GUI that was as useful as a command line is to most users until I tried a mac. I'd rather use command line Linux than a Mac GUI because the Mac GUI is the Microsoft Evil Paperclip of Apple.

Hello 22bl@sbcglobal.net,

I guess that you could save a bundle by buying a cheap knock-off when one finally comes out, but if you want to be the kind of guy who buys the latest and greatest, the newest technology, and features, then you have to get your wallet out.

It's really called getting what you pay for. I love my older Macintosh. I bought it new three years ago, but if you wanted to go with a slightly older Macintosh, you could save some money.

Go to PowerMax and look at their used and refurbished Macintosh computers. The Refurbs keep their original warranty, so you might want to look at that.

Best of luck to you.
