I'm not exactly sure I entirely understand the question. I read it once and I think you're asking if folks have dreamed of a story they've written the very day they write it. I read it again and it comes out as you're asking if folks have dreamed of writing the story and then realize they dreamed about doing so when they finally write it.

If you mean the first understanding, I'd have to say no. But it's an absolute yes on the second understanding. In '85, back when I was in fourth grade, we had to write short stories for Halloween. You know, the usual creative writing type of classroom assignment. Since it was for Halloween we were writing them on little paper jack-o-lanterns. I must have dreamed about the assignment something like four to six times before it actually occured, and each time it was the same exact dream.

Yes, all of the time. The only way I can get the story out of my mind is to write more of it. And it becomes a never-ending cycle!!!

Heck yeah! Then I wake up at 2 in the morning on a school night and start working on it again!

no, i haven't. but im sure it could happen if the story is on your mind while you go to sleep.

believe it or not......my dreams do not help me at all.....most od the time...i usually have to think it up all on my own.....
