I agree. The surge protectors use no power until there is a surge and the battery back ups use little.

The battery back up will use some juice. It has to keep the batteries charged to keep power to your computer. The surge protectors won't use much. They will clip the voltage spikes and that energy will be blocked. The multi-extention outlets will contain surge protectors sometimes, and others not. The difference in current is not that much so I wouldn't worry abou it. good luck.

The application is for the two to chat, so while the appliance are put in, if there have been a capability failure, the Backup PSU will tell the computing gadget, so the computing gadget will start to shutdown, saving documents from corruption, in any different case without the appliance, teh PSU will kick in, and could run till the battery is out, then the workstation will shutdown all of sudden, so in case you had documents/documents opened, they wont get saved or get corrupted.

Yes indeed. Battery chargers more than suppressors.In addition to the losses in the charging circuitry, there are losses within the batteries.
