Are we going to have to settle for being just another democracy instead of an Empire? Perish the thought!!!

america has never wanted t be an empire if we had we would own half the world right now. we end up being drawn into forigen problems that we should not be in and then come out looking like the bad guy. y, because people want us to solve all there damn problems, we give so many countries aid every year we rebuild countries that the popele who like there hate us and we constintly try to make the world a better place but recive nothing but condemnation for it. if it were up to me i would make us an empire lucky for the third rate dictators ( chavez) would be in trouble

Goodness but some of you take great pleasure in pointing out our "eminent downfall"! Some take their pleasure out of things others try to fix. Some do both, not just by tearing down, but by constructive criticism.
We're still the World's only superpower. That hasn't changed. We just got over ourselves pretty quick and went back to business as usual.
Jumping up and down crowing is about as silly as whining about things, at least when that's all someone delivers.
We've had 200 years of success, and failure, but overall a great record of growth. Might as well do it again, put the crowing and whining in a box and go on.
We can pull it out at the next election.
People always do. Same posts, same statements.
